About Anga: Reading for Kids

The short facts about Anga, in one place.

What is Anga: Reading for Kids?

Anga is a reading app for children aged 4 to 7. Children read short illustrated stories and tap any word to hear it, then keep reading. Grown-ups can turn family photos into stories about people and places the child knows.

Who is Anga for?

Anga is for children who are starting to read English, and for the parents, grandparents and educators who read with them. Spoken word help is there for the adult too, which helps families whose first language is not English.

What can children do in Anga?

Children read illustrated library books at reading levels 1 to 10, in British or American English. They can tap a word to hear it, listen while the words light up, practise words by theme, and explore phonics sounds.

What can grown-ups do in Anga?

Grown-ups can write a story as a book, with one photo and one sentence per page, and share it in a private Group Space with up to 10 trusted people. With Anga Plus, Anga AI helps write each page from the grown-up's own language in simple English at the child's level.

How much does Anga cost?

Anga is free to download. Anga Plus is an optional subscription for personal stories and Group Spaces. Teacher Class Pass is a separate subscription for educators. The App Store shows local prices before any purchase.

Which devices does Anga work on?

Anga works on iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or iPadOS 26. An Android version is coming to Google Play. Grown-ups can also prepare stories on the web.

Is Anga private and safe for children?

Anga shows no ads and does not track children. Reading progress stays on the device. A Parent PIN protects settings, purchases, story creation and sharing. Anga is listed in the App Store Kids category.
