Anga is designed for children learning to read, with ages 4–7 as its main starting point. Teachers, early-years educators, tutors, and learning-support teams can create stories around their learners. The best fit depends on the children’s reading needs and the devices you have available.

Try a short story about a class topic, a school trip, or a familiar routine. Read it together at school, then share it with families through pupil passes. At home, children can revisit familiar material, talk about what they learned, and tap unfamiliar words for spoken help. A partnership can start with one group and one shared story.

We encourage both. Anga grew from a love of reading, including printed books, shared story time, and library visits. A class story in Anga can be that evening’s reading, or sit alongside a borrowed book. It offers another convenient way to read when you have a phone or iPad with you, with spoken help for unfamiliar words.

Yes. Children and the parents reading with them can tap a word to hear it spoken, then try it together. That can be useful when English is not your first language, or when a word is simply unfamiliar. You can share the story without needing to know every pronunciation in advance.

Anga provides stories and reading support that you can use alongside your teaching. It does not provide a complete curriculum, standardised reading assessment, or a school progress dashboard. Choose and review the vocabulary yourself to fit your lesson and learners.

You can start with a teacher-led activity or a small group using shared devices in class. Families can continue on an iPhone or iPad at home. Tell me what devices and adult accounts are available at school and at home so we can agree a practical setup.

The web companion supports adult story preparation and class management in a browser. Pupils can read in the iPhone and iPad app. Android is also available through the beta tester setup. Agree the devices and features before starting.

Teacher Library is your personal collection of teaching stories. The same collection is called Story Studio in the iPhone and iPad app. A Class Space brings together a class’s shared drafts, published stories, educators, and pupil access. Both are tools in your educator workspace, using the same Anga Account. Your family’s My Library stays separate.

An individual Teacher Class Pass includes up to five active Class Spaces. Each class supports up to 40 active Pupil Access Passes, and each pass can connect up to four Reader Accounts. For a partnership, we agree the participating educators and classes before setup.

The class owner can invite authorised adults as educators. Invited educators can work on shared class drafts and request the owner’s review. They use their own Anga Accounts and complete Educator Access. Only the owner controls publication, invitations, reader passes, and class settings.

An invitation lets an educator contribute to that class’s drafts while the class has active access. It does not give them their own class allowance or personal Teacher Library. Owning classes and using a personal teaching library require their own Teacher Class Pass. For partners, we agree team access together.

Readers see published Class Stories. Educators can prepare drafts and request review before the class owner publishes a saved version. Editing the source story does not silently change the published copy. The owner decides when to publish an updated version or withdraw a story.

You can publish a saved Teacher Library story to your classes. Each publication is a separate delivery copy, so you can prepare a reusable teaching collection and choose what each class receives. Withdrawing a class publication does not delete its Teacher Library source.

The owner manages the class lifecycle and can close a class or reopen it when access and capacity allow. Term dates are labels: they do not automatically close the class, remove reader access, or stop Apple billing. Review the class’s stories and access as part of your term-end routine.

Families can open the Class Stories their teacher has published, read together, and return to the words and ideas their child met at school. A familiar story can give a child a starting point for talking about the school day. It can be one of the family’s reading choices alongside picture books and library books.

No child email address or child account is required. A parent, guardian, or authorised educator manages the Anga Account and completes the relevant adult verification and Class Pass disclosure. The child reads through that adult-managed access.

The class owner creates individual Pupil Access Passes and shares the appropriate pass privately with each family. The adult opens the pass link or QR code in Anga, completes the required account setup, and joins the class. Avoid posting pupil passes on a public page or group noticeboard.

Yes. A Pupil Access Pass can connect up to four Reader Accounts. This is an account limit, not a promise of four devices or four child profiles. It lets a family arrange reading access across the adults who support a child.

Families do not need to buy either subscription just to read the available Class Stories through their pupil pass. The class needs active Class Pass access. Anga Plus is a separate family offer for personal content and family features.

The owner can manage pupil passes and remove class access. Treat each pass as a private invitation, and review access when a pupil leaves. Revocation needs to reach a device when it reconnects; it cannot remotely erase screenshots or other copies someone has made outside Anga.

Plan an internet connection for setup, joining a class, syncing, story preparation, and generating audio. The iOS app can reuse fully downloaded class stories during a temporary connection loss while cached access remains valid. Open the intended stories on each device beforehand; this is not a promise of a fully offline classroom service.

Try Anga with your class and explore how families continue reading at home. Share honest feedback about preparing stories, inviting families, word help, and anything that gets in the way. We agree a manageable way to keep in touch. You do not need to be technical or commit to a school-wide rollout.

There is no fixed duration advertised here. We agree the scope, length, and any free access before you start. It is not a lifetime-free offer. We will discuss any proposed paid continuation before you decide whether to continue.

Email me first so we can arrange partner access. The regular Teacher Class Pass purchase screen is a separate, paid Apple subscription. Starting that subscription does not make you a partner, and this invitation does not change an existing subscription or its billing.

The individual Teacher Class Pass has monthly and annual plans. Anga shows the local App Store price and renewal terms before purchase. This is an individual educator subscription, not a whole-school licence. Schools and multi-teacher teams are welcome to contact me about partnering and their purchasing or device-management requirements.

Your Teacher Library is kept when a subscription expires. Reading, export, and deletion remain available, while creating, editing, generating audio, and publishing require active access. Class reading and management also depend on the class’s access state. Export anything you need and discuss a partnership’s end before relying on continued class access.

Reader Accounts see the Class Spaces they have joined and the available published stories. They cannot see the educator list, other readers, the pupil pass list, or private pass labels. Private pupil labels are visible only to class staff whose permissions allow it.

You do not need full pupil names for passes. Use initials, a first name, or a classroom label when a label is helpful. You choose the words and images in your stories. Use material you are authorised to share, and follow your school’s requirements before including a child’s personal information or image.

Anga uses Google Cloud Text-to-Speech to turn adult-authored text into reading audio. Text sent for audio can include any names or personal details you write into the story. The generated voice is not a recording of a child. Review the Privacy Policy for the services involved and the data they receive.

Anga shows no advertising and does not include a user-behaviour analytics product. Reading, word, and phonics progress are not saved to the cloud. It does store the account, class, content, access, and service records needed to operate the app. There is no school dashboard of individual pupil reading results.

Yes. Start with the Privacy Policy and send your requirements before you start. Tell me if you need a data-processing agreement, managed-device setup, Apple School Manager purchasing, or specific procurement terms. Those needs must be reviewed together; this page does not claim that every school integration or compliance requirement is already supported.
